I don’t like all of my tattoos anymore and by the time that I’m old I probably won’t like any of them as much as I did when I got them. But that’s not the point of my tattoos. My tattoos are to remind me of who I was when I got them. My flesh is my diary. They also remind me that flesh is flesh and I am not my flesh. My tattoos are the best tools I have to keep the important things in my life in perspective. If they fade or sag or become unfashionable is irrelevant.
